People who knew Laura often spoke of her kindness and her sweet disposition – she was an incredibly gentle, genuine and sincere person. If ever there was someone who fitted the description of being a “people’s person” it was Laura. A warm and compassionate woman Laura knew how to put people at ease and nothing was too much trouble for her.

Laura originally joined Risk Waters as office manager for the company’s old New York office, on 34th Street. She used to bounce into the office in the mornings with a cheery “Hello!”, and sometimes could be heard singing to herself as she worked. Laura also worked part-time for conferences as an event liaison officer. This enabled Laura to pursue her great passion – acting. Laura’s stories of her unusual roles were favourites in the office.

And she also had another passion – cats. Laura spoke often of the families of cats that she saved in the park near her flat, and then found homes for. Her compassion won her many admirers. Kind, with a heart of gold, Laura will be missed desperately.
